the loro blonyo...!!!

this is call Loro Blonyo Statue, a couple of statue in the form of Javanese bridegroom placed in the reception room. the statue is a symbol of the God and Goddess of fertility in Javanese culture: Devi (Goddess) Sri and God Sadono. Loro Blonyo is the Javanese words of “two become one”. Devi Sri and God Sadono are very much worshipped by Javanese rural community especially by the farmer. and the rest of story you can read in here.
and this is Cemprut Loro Blonyo Doll. when a friend asked me to make a loro blonyo doll for her wedding, so i said okay. since she said that Siti Marpuah (the cem cem family plush) is been part of their (she and her boyfriend) love life so i decided to make that doll as a wedding gift for her and the groom :) hope u guys like it.
the body made by felt and filled by dacron. as she requested, the bride wear a white kebaya with a floral skirt and the lace veil.
the groom wear a white koko shirt and a black cap. and stupid me, i'm forgot about their shoes...oh...sorry dear... but wait, if they married in a mosque, so they must put their shoes off rite, haha...so i'm not mistake rite :p
